1. Where does the bicycle path start in Saint-Sauveur?


The bicycle path starts at the old Piedmont train station – about 10 minutes by bike and 5 minutes by car from the heart of the village of Saint-Sauveur. Take Principale Street to Highway 117 north until you reach Chemin du golf de Piedmont and follow the directions to the train station.

2. Where can I go dancing in Saint-Sauveur?


If you like to dance, you will love « Les Vieilles Portes », a bar located at 185 Principale Street, which has a dance floor, and live bands on Thursday nights. Also, live music every Monday, Friday and Saturday at the « Carol à Gogo » located at 268, rue Principale. « Bourbon Street » North is also a very popular venue, located 10 minutes from Saint-Sauveur. This club hosts international musicians and several outdoor shows at their exterior stage behind the main building. Up to 5,000 people have been known to gather here to party on some nights.

3. What activities are available for children?


In the summer, you will find a children’s park equipped with lots of fun outdoor facilities, located on Filion Street, in the heart of the village of Saint-Sauveur, while at Mont Saint-Sauveur, an aquatic park is always popular among families. In the winter, children and adults alike enjoy the slides at Glissades des Pays-d’en-Haut and on Mont Avila. You can also find an outdoor skating rink behind the Pauline-Vanier Chalet on Filion Street, next to the church.

4. Is there a swimming pool in Saint-Sauveur?


Not.  However, swimming enthusiasts can still get their fix by going to the Mont Saint-Sauveur aquatic park, or by visiting the indoor pool as clients at the Manoir Saint-Sauveur hotel.

5. Are there any hotels in Saint-Sauveur with physical training facilities?


Yes, at the Manoir Saint-Sauveur, but it is not a big facility. There are other physical fitness centres in the region, including:

6. Are dogs allowed in the parks?


Yes, as long as they are on a leash. Dog owners must carry bags with them to scoop up their animal’s excrement.

7. Where can I park my car?


While parking is restricted on certain streets, there is plenty of public parking available in various areas of the village. It is quite easy to locate these parking facilities simply by looking for the parking signs. On weekends, motorists are welcome to use the village’s school parking lots (on Filion and Principle streets ), as well as the Town Hall’s parking lot, located at Principle and de la Mairie streets.
